Grateful American Book Prize

WETA and the Grateful American Book Prize and Foundation announce a new partnership

“We are honored and privileged to announce a partnership with WETA’s AdLit.org in its important mission of aiding young learners enhance their reading skills, and embrace a love of history,” according to David Bruce Smith, founder of the Grateful American Foundation and co-founder of the Grateful American Book Prize.

WETA is the flagship public media station in the nation’s capital, and its AdLit.org platform is a nationwide initiative that provides educators and families resources to enrich adolescent education.

Smith’s Grateful American Foundation is an interactive multimedia program that is focused on restoring enthusiasm about American history for children. The Grateful American Book Prize, co-founded by him, and the late Dr. Bruce Cole, former Chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities, was set up to encourage the publication of absorbing and engaging young adult works of fiction, historical fiction, and non-fiction.
